Continuo organ (Marseille)

Italian continuo organ from the 17th century (Private, Marseille)

The pipes of the main interiors are made of hammered lead.

The instrument is in two parts, making it easy to transport.

Principal 8' en étain
Principal 4' en étain
Bourdon 8' en bois

The moulded case is painted off-white and enhanced with gilding.
Its 50 mm pressure gives it a soft, unctuous sound, but with a strong fundamental, so it has a strong presence in the continuo.

It has a 54-note keyboard (C to f ''').
Transposers for the four tuning forks 392 / 415 / 440 / 466 Hz by lateral displacement.
